ASEAN Webinar on Risks of Zoonotic Diseases Transmission from Illegal Wildlife Trade (For AMS Government Officials and Supporting Partners)

ASEAN is holding a webinar on the risks of zoonotic disease transmission from the illegal wildlife trade. Facilitated by USAID Wildlife Asia, the webinar will include the participation of experts led by former CITES Secretary-General John Scanlon. Freeland, Asian Development Bank, World Organization for Animal Health (OIE), and WWF will also provide resource speakers for the webinar. The webinar will be hosted by AWG CITES WE Malaysia Chair via the Bluejeans platform. This collaboration will also produce materials, a policy brief, and recommendations on preventing pandemics from zoonotic diseases.
