China's Wildlife Protection Law Phases 1 and 2
USAID Wildlife Asia undertook a continuous campaign to promote the updated Wildlife Protection Law (WPL) in China enacted in January 1, 2017. The approach for this campaign was to focus on raising awareness and understanding of the updated law, particularly penalties that are linked to consumption of illegal wildlife, especially the four focal species – pangolin, elephant, rhino and tiger. The campaign involved key visuals, a wall poster, and Public Service Announcements (PSAs). The project worked with public and private sector partners to promote the WPL materials via multiple outdoor channels, new media and top video websites incorporating big data into targeted media strategy.
