4th Vietnam National Assembly High-Level Dialogue (Postponed to July TBD)

This High-Level Dialogue with the National Assembly (NA) will be held on June 29, 2021 in Hanoi, Vietnam, and will be organized as small group discussions due to the COVID-19 situation. The event is a culmination of a series of High-Level dialogues with the NA and will discuss Chi Phase III’s achievements, recognize the efforts of relevant partners and individuals, and reaffirm the commitment of the National Assembly to the fight against wildlife crime.

USAID Wildlife Asia has conducted a series of three, half-day, high-level dialogues with the National Assembly of Vietnam, government agencies, representatives of key ministries, and local and international experts over the past two years. The first half-day dialogue was completed in July 2019. The second dialogue was held in June 2020 and third event was a series of small group meetings held in August 2020. These activities focused on improving current communication campaigns (including the use of social and behavior change communication or SBCC) for demand reduction efforts in Vietnam, the strengthening of legislation and law enforcement, and the improvement of cooperation mechanisms between policymakers and enforcement organizations.
