Counter Wildlife Trafficking Initiatives Reference Guide: Cambodia, China, Laos, Thailand and Vietnam
Currently there are a large number of initiatives to counter wildlife trafficking occurring in South East Asia conducted by a variety of organizations and government actors.
Many of these actions can occur in a degree of isolation to other similar initiatives due to a lack of coordination between the implementers, either within a specific country, or within the region. In advance of the Innovations in Counter Wildlife Trafficking Conference, held in Bangkok in March 2017, USAID Wildlife Asia engaged a consultant with the intent of providing USAID Wildlife Asia, and conference participants, with a comprehensive understanding of all significant initiatives occurring in the region, to include identification of synergies (value added partnerships) and/or overlap within individual countries or within the region.
